Billy & Ralph: Billy & Ralph is a UK based website specialising in handmade notebooks, journals and other handmade items and books. Billy & Ralph is a brand of craisymissdaisy.
Disclaimer: I make, print and bind each notebook and journal myself. I take great pride in my work and wouldn’t send anything out that I wouldn’t be happy to receive myself. As each notebook/journal is handmade and not mass produced, you may find a few little imperfections along the way which is part of the ‘perfectly imperfect’ charm of a handmade notebook or journal.

‘Billy & Ralph by craisymissdaisy’ (Billy & Ralph) is the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my website. When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address, email address. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have relating to that order.
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for four years.

Pricing: I make every effort to ensure all of the product pricing is correct. However, there may be occasions when an incorrect price is shown. In the event that this happens I reserve the right to cancel any sale and restock at the correct price.
Notebook Covers: The majority of my notebook covers are made with fabric. In some instances there is only enough fabric for one notebook. In the event of a return/replacement an alternative fabric may need to be used and I will notify you of this before re-sending.
Order Emails: When you place an order with ‘Billy & Ralph’ and during the duration of the order until completion, you will receive several website generated emails. I will also email you separately to confirm a rough time scale of when your order will be sent, as well as an email confirming the tracking number for shipping. I may also need to email you if I am unable to process your order due to missing address/other information relating to your order (see below).
Missing Information: If any information is missing from your order and I am unable to process it I will email you several times over the course of a week requesting this information. If I haven’t received a reply within 7 days of receipt of your order I will contact you once more to confirm that your order will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued.
Order Processing Times: I will always aim to post your order as soon as I can within 1-3 working days of receiving your order. I only post Monday to Friday and do not post on weekends or UK public holidays. If for any reason there is going to be a delay I will email you to let you know. Processing times for made to order/custom items time are slightly different as custom items take longer to make but I will confirm the timescale with you at the time of ordering.
Completed Items/Orders: As each order varies in items, colours and fabrics I now take detailed photographs of each completed order to assist with any queries that may arise once the order has been received.
Cancelled Orders: If you wish to cancel an order you must do so within 1 hour or purchase. If your order has already shipped please refer to the main return policy on how to return your item. Buyer is responsible for paying return postage to return the item.
Immediate Payment: All orders require immediate payment and orders will not be sent until full payment has been received. If payment is made by PayPal and an echeque payment is received, the order will not be shipped until the echeque payment has cleared.
Custom Order Payments: If you have requested a custom order payment must be made in full before I start working on your order.
SAFETY & CARE
Safety Notice: The ‘Billy & Ralph’ notebooks and journals are not toys. They are therefore not suitable for babies, young children, adults or animals to play with and should be kept out of reach at all times.
Care Instructions: Please keep away from liquids and water, as this may cause any ink used in the notebooks and journals to bleed.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Change of mind/cancellations that have already shipped: If for any reason you change your mind and wish to return an item from my website, including cancellations that have already been shipped, (excluding memory books and personalised/custom orders) please email me within 14 days of receipt of the item to notify me of your return. Once I have received your email I will provide you with the information needed to return your item. Please note the following:-
Faulty Items: If there is a problem with your item and you think it may be faulty please contact me immediately upon receipt to let me know what the problem is. I will need to see photographic evidence of the fault, which should be sent via email within 14 days of receipt.
Please note that any item which states ‘Faulty Sample’ in the main title/description are exempt from returns as any defects will be detailed in the listing. ‘Returns not Accepted’ will be shown on these listings.
Custom orders/made to order/personalised and memory books: In accordance with the UK Distance Selling Regulations ‘made to order’, ‘custom made orders’ and personalised items are exempt from the Distance Selling Regulation return policy.
This applies to Custom Orders, Made to Order Items, personalised items and Memory Books and for any items where you choose your own paper, card or any other fabric/criteria to make up your item. This also applies if you have requested that ‘Billy & Ralph’ choose the book/product items on your behalf.
‘Returns not Accepted’ will be shown on all items that are exempt from returns.
All orders are shipped via a tracked service from within the UK. At the moment I am unable to send any orders overseas and shipping is in the UK only.
Shipping Calculations: The notebooks and journals are very heavy and therefore a little more expensive to ship. Shipping is calculated by weight and value and all orders are shipped using a tracked service. This is usually Royal Mail, however, other companies may be used where necessary to keep costs down. For very large orders please contact me first so I can find the best value shipping cost. In some cases I may need to split your order into separate parcels to obtain the best price.
Shipping Times: I will aim to post your order as soon as I can within 1-3 days after receipt of your order. I always try to post orders quickly, however, if for any reason there is going to be a delay, I will contact you via email to let you know. Custom/Made to order/personalised items and larger orders will take longer but the timescale for these will be discussed with you prior to purchase.
Delays: All shipping times are approximate and although the majority of items posted within the UK arrive within a few days, it can take a little longer in some areas due to staff shortages because of Covid.
Damaged Items: All of my items are packaged securely. If your item has been damaged in transit please contact me immediately so I can investigate further. Photographic evidence of the damage will be required, which should be sent via email within 14 days of receipt of your order. Once I have seen photographic evidence and confirmed the damage with Royal Mail a replacement will be sent.
Non Delivery: All of the items on my website are sent using a tracked service. All of the labels have barcodes which when scanned give GPS coordinates. In the event that your item doesn’t arrive please contact me and I will investigate further.
